Ryan J. Uitti, M.D.

Dr. Ryan J. Uitti is a professor and consultant in the Department of Neurology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, where he has served since 1994. He was promoted to full Professor of Neurology in 2003 in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and is a fellow of the American Neurological Association and American Academy of Neurology.
 
He is an international expert on Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. He has had an active research career and received funding from the National Institutes of Health for nearly 20 years. He has been principal investigator in numerous surgical and pharmacological trials and published more than 300 peer-reviewed manuscripts. Dr. Uitti served on the initial editorial board for Parkinsonism & Related Disorders and is a former member of the executive committee of the World Federation of Neurology/International Association of Parkinsonism & Related Disorders. Dr. Uitti also served for 14 years as associate editor for Neurology, the official journal of the American Academy of Neurology.

Dr. Uitti has held numerous administrative roles, including Chair of the Department of Neurology, Medical Director for Development, and Clinical Director for the Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, Arizona, and Florida. Dr. Uitti is currently the Medical Director for Mayo Clinic Provider Solutions/Mayo Clinic Care Network.
