Mayo Clinic Platform hosted our annual conference, now called PlatforMed, on June 4-5 in Phoenix, Arizona. The conference brings together more than 200 leaders from government, academia, and industry to discuss new technologies, innovative solutions, and cutting-edge concepts to change how care is provided.

Dr. Halamka kicked off the conference with a welcome address, where he touched on the immense possibilities of the future of healthcare.

Gianrico Farrugia, M.D., President and CEO of Mayo Clinic, gave the keynote address, and emphasized the benefits of a platform approach to healthcare.

Other headliners at PlatforMed included Lana Feng, Co-Founder and CEO of Huma.ai; Victoria Lee, M.D., President and CEO of Fraser Health; and Jennifer Goldsack, CEO of Digital Medicine Society.

There were multiple breakout sessions with expert panelists from Mayo Clinic, leaders from Mayo Clinic Care Network, policymakers, thought leaders, and Mayo Clinic Platform partners with a wide range of diverse topics including:

• Enabling Platform Thinking in Clinical Trials
• Improving Healthcare Financial and Administrative Systems
• Creating Long-Term Equity Value in a Generative AI World
• Leveraging Technology to Support Frontline Staff

The conference concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Halamka, who emphasized the importance of collaboration and encouraged the audience to reflect on the possibilities for the future of care.
